What is MAT Exam?

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance exam administered by the All-India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA/PGDM programs in over 800 B-schools across India. It is conducted in four phases throughout the year: February, May, September, and December. MAT is known for its student-friendly approach, offering candidates the flexibility to attempt the exam multiple times whenever they feel prepared.

MAT is conducted in three modes: Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT) which is remote proctored. The exam fees, pattern, and syllabus remain consistent across all modes, but the admit card and exam dates vary. Candidates can choose their preferred mode for each attempt and must register separately for each session. The score from the latest MAT attempt is considered for admission purposes.
